From Pilot Scale to Industrial Production: Chemical Process Modeling and Simulation in Action!

We recently completed a fascinating modeling and simulation project for the batch reactor fabrication of a polyester resin. A true chemical engineering challenge!

Our detailed approach involved in-depth analysis of the stoichiometry, thermodynamics, and kinetics of the reactions, mass and energy balances, liquid-vapor and liquid-liquid equilibrium models (essential in this case!), as well as complex heat transfer equations. All this, combined with advanced numerical methods, allowed us to build a robust predictive model.

✨ The result? Our client achieved a smooth and successful transition from pilot scale to industrial scale! We were able to assess the suitability of all existing resources – from the reactor and its agitator to the heating/cooling system and condenser – ensuring operational efficiency and minimizing risks.
